I teach special Ed and Im not only expected to be their teacher for every subject, but to also be their parents, life coaches, the liaison between the school that cant support them and the program theyre in, a responsible bus driver, and bearer of truths and secrets

I also am micromanaged in terms of my own speech and emotions in accordance to what BCBAs in the room feel is the best way to represent their needs

Its crazy

That sounds challenging.

I remember when I was a senior my Spanish teacher who I became a teacher's aid for gave me a card with $25 in it. I pocketed the money and put the card in a folder, then threw the folder away without realizing it was in there.

One of the special ed kids dug through the trash and found the card, then the special ed teacher took it to my Spanish teacher and she was distant from me after that whenever I saw her around.

I was like damn, they just let the special ed kids dig through the trash unattended? wtf
