Topic	Hey, are there any games where you fly around an entire globe?

For some reason, I think DQIX had it as an option. this is true, I mentioned similar effects in my OP But what I'm looking for isn't so much the game itself, but more the tech of flying over a small globe... I think FF8 might have been the closest to what I mean, other than Super Mario Galaxy (occasionally) --- "Salt cures Everything!"
