Those smalls things might make or break it for fans. If you're casually into it, I'm sure you'll be fine. Even as bad as the Hobbit movies are, I still like watching them because they have a similar feel to the Lord of the Rings movies. If at the end of the day, they establish that in some form, then this will be great.
