Exactly my hesitation on Higurashi >_> it just doesn't seem right if there's no riddles to solve since you know all the answers :/ I mean, if it's even half as big the difference between Umineko's adaptation and VN were it's worth a read, but still.
Oh no. I'm reading it from the perspective of "I know all the answers let's see how well it was foreshadowed etc"
And I've discovered one thing
Ryukishi is a ****ing god-tier foreshadower.
