Didn't edwards request his ban though? That's kind of different since he like, you know literally asked for it. Who knows what his punishment would have actually been?
not so much 'requested' as he 'turned himself in'. apparently if you turn yourself in you get a harsher punishment than someone who tries to lie and cheat their way out of getting caught.
