He wasn't very Killing Joke-ish, that Joker Still had . I'd say Joker in Dark Knight was indeed very different from any comic version, closest being maybe Man Who Laughs. Pretty much, these movies take some ideas and give a different spin on them, they're not all that "true" to the comics I'd say. But being brilliant movies inspired by Batman is a very good thing.
