I give Avengers a 9.5/10.

The only problem I had with it was I felt like the human race could have saved themselves from that alien invasion. They weren't tremendously more powerful than humans.
The infantry was very vulnerable to attack. The hover crafts the infantry rode were fragile an underwhelming at best. Those "air snakes" would have been chump change for a couple of good fighter jets. The mothership got tanked by one nuclear bomb.
Loki was the only real threat in his whole army.
The Avengers saved some lives from death by war, but humans would have prevailed anyways, eventually.
