The inevitability of it when it passed Final Fantasy and Pokemon was stark, it was just a matter of time. The Legend of Zelda was on notice, and nothing was going to stop this torrent. And the day has arrived. As hyped as I was for Skyward Sword, I can't even stand waiting for KH 3D anymore, the days need to just go by, because the wait is killing me. And as I go on vacation today, I am only bring KH games, which again, is oh so weird to me.
Now I will freely admit LoZ is a better overall series, (3 of the top 5, and 3 games higher than the highest KH game) but that does not dictate favorite, and if I had to pick one gaming series and drop the rest, it would be Kingdom Hearts.
