Oh, well the episode is called Ash, Iris, and Trip's Final Battle so I just assumed it was. Unless none of them win...?
My guess is that the semifinal's are Iris vs. Ash, and Trip vs. ???. Ash and Trip advance, and they have their final battle in the Junior Cup. If that happens, I can see Trip defeating Ash, earning his goal of challenging Alder.
