You realize that if I *KNOW* a pokemon is one of someone's favorites then I will not eliminate it unless its against a pokemon that I actually like.
I killed Ziggy, sure, but I did it with a pokemon that I actually enjoy (We're talking like top 50-70 or so). I would never kill Zigzagoon with a pokemon who I'm indifferent towards. And except for the occasional spite kill (which I reserve for Dragonair killers only) I always follow that idea. I think I voted for grumpig twice in that run? Both times it was outclassed, but both times the pokemon that was outclassing it was someone I did not care for whatsoever.
It's a pretty simple method really. "Do not eliminate a known favorite of someone (who is also participating of course) unless it's with someone you like"
But the fact is that even though I try to follow that, there is no rule FORCING me to. I could say screw it and vote for my preference each and every single time.
Lets just say that zigzagoon is like #511 for me (and it's probably somewhere around there. Maybe as high up as 450). That means there are 510 pokemon I "like" better. But among those 510 there are probably only 70 of them that I would actually vote for over Zigzagoon, because they are the ones that I'm not merely indifferent towards.
One would think that you might be grateful that I'd be willing to give Ziggy a "pass" against 440 pokemon who would otherwise have killed him.
One would be wrong.
FD you literally killed probably about 10 of my top 20 sooooo lol
