To start, the 16 users will be divided into 4 groups of 4 (or 2 groups of 8), where each group will be drafting only against those within their own group. All 4 groups of 4 (or 2 of 8) will compete against one another once the season begins. The only reason I'm dividing everyone into groups is to make the drafting easier to organize. After the drafting, your group won't matter.
At the start of the draft (on draft day - which is TBD) each group of 4 (or 8) will be randomized to determine the order and will proceed in a "snake-like" pattern until the end. This means that if you go first on Round 1, you will be going last on Round 2, and if you go last on Round 1, you will be going first on Round 2, and so on.
Realize: You are aiming to draft the houseguests that you believe will go the farthest, and earn you most the points, throughout the season. Overall points supersede picking the winner (though having the winner in your squad at the end of the season will net you points).
Each squad will consist of 3 regular houseguests and 1 returning houseguest. You do not have to pick the returning houseguest first. I do not know what the returning houseguests will be capable of yet, and cannot factor that into the draft, but each squad will have an equal distribution so it will be fair regardless. The 4 speculated returning houseguests are not 100% confirmed until premiere night (though they may as well be), but for the sake of the draft will be used. If anything changes, we'll switch things accordingly! If you don't want to be spoiled on the returning houseguests, you probably are gonna have a tough time drafting one of them.
DRAFT DAY will either be Wednesday evening or Thursday evening. I'm thinking Wednesday if that works for everyone. Between 7 and 9 PM EST. If we do Thursday it'll have to be earlier, probably around 6 PM EST. The premiere is on Thursday at 8 PM EST. Currently with 3 groups it may take a little longer to finish it up, though really you don't have to stick around once your group has finished picking.
Groups haven't been comprised yet, though when they are I'll post them in this topic.
Feel free to ask any and all questions. If you can't make it to the draft day time then PM me your list of preferred houseguest drafting picks. That way, I'll go down your list and draft your next highest houseguest for you, giving you your most preferred team. If you're on the reserve list please send me a list as well, because there's a possibility that not all 12 will show. Regardless, if you can make it then you don't have to PM me a list.
