Real talk: the worst anti-fanboys are those people who seem to hate every single popular film. Don't get me wrong - I've heard plenty of intelligent, respectable criticisms for each one. I also have my fair share of successful films I dislike, such as Transformers 2 and Thor.

But man, it seems like the bulk of TDK/Inception/Avatar/etc haters are just seriously ****ing stupid. Their posts rarely even rise to the level of intelligence found in YouTube comments.

That's not really anti-fanboyism, it's just general snobbery. They aren't hating because of something involved in it, they're just hating it to hate it.

I guess you have a point. It seems like a surprising number of them have serious issues with Christopher Nolan/James Cameron/etc., though... it's almost kind of creepy at times!

Both have legitimate problems, as every major writer/director/actor/developer/etc etc does, but that doesn't stop them from being amazing.

Hell, King is my favorite author, but he has some serious problems with pacing and character originality.

Oh, I'm definitely not saying they're perfect! I don't even especially like Cameron, myself. It's just surprising to see how many people appear to have legitimate personal beefs with people like them, as if they picked on 'em in school or something.
