Hard to see a future for Microsoft in Japan, they made a huge commercial effort this generation to make the 360 appeal to the Japanese consumers, massive marketing campaigns, securing jrpg after jrpg exclusives in the early days of the generation and to have an end turnover of 1.5 million sales is laughable.
To be fair, Blue Dragon I didn't find very good, also wasn't into Lost Odyssey, etc. I don't think those hit either. Honestly, Tales of Vesperia is the only one, and that's not even exclusive over there.
That said, since I usually get both consoles lately and Nintendo's one eventually, and they all sell well enough somewhere, this doesn't really effect me, it's all good.
