japan. on the basis that really there have been PLENTY of top notch games of most of today's genres as well in addition to the past. going forward isn't really gonna be a decline in a lot of the high quality stuff. never made much sense to me when that's improved over the years.

don't wanna lose Atlus, don't wanna lose Platinum Games, don't wanna lose Nintendo, Enix, Sega, Konami, or Capcom. don't wanna lose all the VNs, shmups, or fighters - which are all Japan. US still has a LOT of catching up to do and have done well at cornering sandbox games and a certain style of gameplay, but Japan still takes a good portion of everything else.
