So, I talked with the director of search and he gave me all these details ... talked about how our network of 325+ sports blogs is expanding to include a network based on tech and things like that. We did recently hire the editors from Engadget, and he talked about how my position as SEO Manager would not only include the sports side of things, but it would be one team that crossed over into tech and things like that. So it's a huge vertical position with insane room for growth.
Talked about how they wanted to promote from within, and I fit that bill. And there was a huge chemistry there, which is great, because I'd be working directly with him. And we covered a lot of stuff, and talked about my music magazine I used to have and how that helps things as well.
Then the awesome news: talked about relocating me to Washington, D.C. with a great enough pay to more than cover the cost of living there and I was soaring. I don't know if I have it yet, but I feel incredibly good about it. Waiting about a week to hear back from him is going to be agony.
