And yeah, the "characters attacking at the same time" is kind of a series staple; no matter how much they change up the battle system, it's a constant.
Very glad to hear that. Given that the game was by Konami, I already had pretty good hopes for other aspects of the game, but the fact that the battle plays out that way really makes me enjoy the battles. To me that's always been one of the most important aspects of RPG's, you have to enjoy the battles.
