what's with you and running over people's dogs
When I was a kid, I left a window open and my sister's cat got out at night. We live in coyote country, so everyone assumed that it was going to get eaten, and my parents were consoling my sister when a woman knocked on our door and told us that she'd just hit a cat trying to cross the street and get to our house. Bizarre that it survived the coyotes, which it should not have been able to, only to die crossing a street, which it should have been easily capable of. In any case, my sister never forgave me for that, so whenever I think of doing something that would make someone hate me, I think of running over a pet. Granted, I didn't personally run over the cat, but still.
Why would you even open a window that didn't have a screen in it? Were you trying to let all kinds of annoying bugs in?
