Episode 8: Isaac and Miria Unintentionally Spread Happiness Around Them
We’re at a police station. Everyone’s excited because they have two new investigators on the case of a group of robbers. God, there’s more smoke in here than at Woodstock. Time for a slideshow presentation! They show a bunch of pictures of Isaac and Miria in a bunch of different costumes stealing things. The cops are legitimately surprised that a bunch of people who have time to pose for pictures haven’t been apprehended yet. Apparently, Isaac and Miria have stolen a good chunk of the head Genoard’s fortune. Good for them.
Back on the train, Isaac and Miria are walking through the hallways when they suddenly have a breakdown of epic proportions. We learn that the cause of their strife is the fact that they forgot to buy a gift for Ennis. Oh Isaac and Miria, you’re so outrageous. Elsewhere, Jacuzzi, Nice, and Nick all climb on top of the train (Donny helped them up, so he can’t make it up himself) to look for the Rail Tracer. Nice and Nick comment on how determined Jacuzzi looks.
Back in 1932, Eve is still in the custody of Gustavo, but is unharmed. Gustavo introduces himself and politely tells her that he won’t kill her. Aw, how sweet. He eats an apple (crucial detail) and explains why he kidnapped her while getting right up in her face and asking if she’s scared. As he leaves, he “accidentally” tells her that he’s the one who killed her father. Whoopsy. Eve pulls out the God card and says that Gustavo will be punished. She proceeds to pray, and we’re back in 1930.
Eve is crying while she’s looking at her picture of Dallas. You can hear Isaac and Miria talking about Eve outside of her window. They speculate that the man in the picture is her lover and something has tragically torn them apart. Eve walks outside and startles them, because they didn’t realize how loud they were being. Also, they’re dressed up as Native Americans. Even though they’re there to steal, Eve starts laughing at them. This confuses Isaac and Miria, since she was crying just a second ago. They ask her to tell them about her lover.
Back on the train, Jacuzzi’s group has a meeting. Nice observes that Isaac, Miria, Cole, Mary, and Natalie are all nowhere to be found. Jacuzzi suggests they split up. Huh. Jacuzzi never stood out as a “Fred” type character. He’s going to go with Donny, and Nice and Nick are going to do other stuff. Jacuzzi kisses Nice. Seems like an odd time, but whatever. At least we’ve found our Daphne.
Eve is describing her woes to Isaac and Miria. She thinks that the reason Dallas rarely comes home anymore is because they’re rich. When you’re rich, other people want more than just your friendship. Miria suggests that they just stop being rich (lol). Isaac and Miria then excuse themselves from Eve’s room and we head to commercial.
I know I’ve said it before, but Isaac and Miria are amazing.
