if you want specific recs:

Ikaruga is beautiful.
I've talked up Outland enough and it's got some Ikaruga mechanics in a platformer.
N+ may be my favourite XBLA game but it's kinda tough to play after Super Meat Boy's hyper speed. love the co-op though.
Shadow Complex is quality.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is moody and looks great.
Geometry Wars 2 is a goddamn must.
Half-Minute Hero, yep.

I bought Ikaruga for Gamecube earlier this year...haha, fun but hard, as expected; I could only reach the third boss. Outland was the first demo I tried before I made this topic! N+ in general doesn't impress me, though it's been fun enough to goof around with friends. I've only watched Geometry Wars but never played it, so this should be fun to handle its sequel...! I don't know ITSP, but it's worth a look.

There's so much stuff on Netflix that it's hard to really suggest things without knowing what you're into.

Except Mystery Team, which everyone should watch.

I'm all about funny stuff, though I also got Netflix so I could discontinue my cable which was being almost exclusively used for Comedy Central...so I welcome any worthwhile shake-ups from my funny formula you have. If it helps, my top three favorite movies are probably Shawshank Redemption, Truman Show, and Toy Story (which isn't a particularly comedic trio).

Don't know anything about Mystery Team, which means it's up for a fair shot!
