In a purely random sample, your median should be 5. Considering these are all by suggestion, they are probably slightly above average overall.
You would think that, but working off a sample size (from a different project of sorts) of 890, my median is a 5.5. However, you have to then factor in that this sample size considers my own submissions. Factor those out, because those are obviously skewed higher, and it's a 5, and closer to the 4.5 side of it.
Your median should be skewed toward 6, but it will still probably be normal. I'm trying to rank the VGMotD songs, which I may abandon before completion, but I'm finding I'm giving out a ton of 5.5s and 6s. Then again, I'm also a softy and wildly inconsistent.
I'm pretty inconsistent, at least in trying to lock me down on a single rating, even if you use a scale with .5 intervals, which is what I do. I used to be really soft and practically used the four point scale, but not any more. If anything, I'm harsher than normal.
