I did this once, called the bank as soon as possible to get it cancelled, only to get a call the next morning that they had my debit card. Apparently, the machine takes the card back in and it has to be removed by a bank employ, which is pretty nice to have unless you simply wait too long and it sucks your card back in.
Do you mean if it waited for a really long time? I mean say someone walked up a minute after me, wouldn't they just be able to click Done or whatever and it would spit the card out?

It was the craziest college town I've ever seen. No, I didn't get laid. We stood around awkwardly in bars for a couple hours before finally going to Jack in the Box and taking the taxi back to the Biltmore. We went out there to watch UFC at BWW and figured we would check out the college bars. I just really suck at that scene though. I think I was so amazed at everything going on around me that I just totally forgot that my card was still in the machine.
