That's a good point, I forgot about atium.
I've only read the first book, but I recall it being explained, essentially, as atium meaning you can predict anything and thus become effectively immune to attack for as long as you have some because you can just move. In addition, the only counter is using atium yourself, or you'll just be attacked by someone who can predict your dodges.
So... could Vin kill Doom in the time it takes her atium to diminish? I don't think she carries as much of it as the regular metals.
