You know the problem behind that logic? You know how people get accused of crimes they didn't really commit? You could have very well been killing all of them too.

He's not a "good" person. He's not perfect. That makes him interesting, and like pj said, the evolution from nice highschool kid who wants to improve the world to horrible mass murderer barely adhering to his original goals is very natural and impressive done.
