Nothing TOO shocking in Day One's eliminations. Deadwind Pass has nice ambiance, but it's generally unimportant to the overall game and serves as filler between Duskwood and Swamp of Sorrows. Hrothgar's Landing is probably the second-least important zone in this contest, and hell, people might not even know it exists. Blasted Lands is the only potential shock, but really, for an "endgame" zone, all it has going for it is the Dark Portal...other than that, it's pretty bland.
