You should put up with people with differing opinions because this is the real world and you're not the thought police. Unless people are shitty with you or people you know, put up and shut up.
No. Hateful bigots should not be politely accepted. They should be shamed and shunned. People who think cheesecake is gross, people that think driving a pick up in the city is stupid and we should all be driving hybrids are the sort of differing opinions that should be accepted. But hating someone because they're gay, a different religion, a different race, etc is not the sort of opinion that should be laughed off and politely accepted in society.
What if you hate a person of a different religion because they kill people of different religions? ---
