When we start caring about the experiences of insects (something they don;t even care about in their own societies) thats when we become so reductionist with how we define consciousness that we might as well say plants feel pain and therefor should not be eaten as well. p.s. boiling lobster alive in more sanitary. You would know this if you knew about cooking lobster, which you obviously don't, yet you form an opinion about the practice in a field you have no knowledge about. Sad.
