The reason it is wrong to use methods of killing which inflict pain is because of the psychological effects it has on the person inflicting the pain just as much as the creature experiencing the pain. If you really can empathize with a sea bug with a completely different nervous system and evolutionary tree than humans to the paint it causes you distress it might be the sign of psychological problems and you should get that looked into. I won't lose any sleep over boiling a lobster alive if its done with the purpose of providing sustenance for myself or others.

No I am saying its insane for somebody to think a rock can feel the same feelings as a tree.

It takes an extreme reductionist mentality to think all pain is the same or experienced the same as we experience it. Lobsters are like biological robots, or are you people the kind to be advocates for AI rights?
