Part of being an adult is realizing when you don't need unnecessary negativity/stupidity in your life. You just ignore the person and move on rather than advertising the fact.


I can ignore people without avoiding seeing their words. Its called "don't react to what others say if you don't want to".

Otherwise if you cant help but to react to somebodies messages ONLINE where its just text that you CHOOSE to read it means you are a child because children cannot yet filter what they see before reacting to it.

If you NEED horse blinders to be okay, it means you are not emotionally mature.


Intentionally exposing yourself to deliberate toxicity just to prove that it doesn't affect you is not a sign of emotional maturity - knowing when to avoid things that will add nothing of benefit to your life and not fearing that doing so makes you less of a man is.
