I'm by no means against the man or what he taught, but he was practically a paragon of Christian virtue.

Minus the hate and the need to find jesus, sure. But loving your fellow human being and loving them because they are your fellow human being isnt a bad lesson. Loving your fellow human being because an invisible man in the sky said to is a bad lesson. Because then you get people arguing about different religions and being gay and shit like that.
