The only people who thought this were people who paid absolutely no attention to gaming media and based their understanding entirely on the name and the basic superficial appearance. Unfortunately, such people make up a sizable percentage of the market, and Nintendo's failure to catch their interest was one of the major reasons for the WiiU's failure.
