Honestly, it's probably more about his self esteem. He thinks so little of himself and has already decided that no woman would ever be interested that even if a woman is giving off vibes he just assumes she being nice, not interested. I imagine that he's also so afraid of not knowing what he's doing at his age that he subconsciously blows women off to avoid having them possibly laugh at how bad he thinks he will be in bed.

All of the above. I think if I lived in a more populated area, with actual interesting things to do and places to go, I'd be able to meet more people. I do have trouble talking to people in general, but once I get used to someone I'm fine regardless of what gender they are. I also do feel I'm not worth being with, I have nothing to offer that someone can't find from literally anyone else with easier access. I'm fairly oblivious in general, as I'm usually daydreaming or panicking on the inside, so it's certainly possible someone was interested and I had no idea. Also, I definitely would refuse if someone just straight up approached me for sex, I think I'd need to ease into that. Going from 0 to 100 instantly is quite a leap.

Then there's the issue of my family. I'm not sure how to approach any dating situation. I don't really feel free to do as I please, and I wouldn't want to bring someone home either. First step would be finding a new place to live to get rid of those 2 issues. Idk, I just don't think I'll ever be in a proper situation where it's possible.
