Yes, most of it is hundreds of miles of flat plains. There's not a lot to see. But the cost of living is indeed quite cheap. I lived in a suburb of Kansas City, so it was obviously civilized and developed, as opposed to like, 100 person towns out in the middle of nowhere. But even as the downtown area is concerned, it's very reasonable.
