This is one of the biggest quirks I have had for years, this being that whenever many broadcasters, particularly on the radio, but in general any journalists that have to interview someone, come across individuals who repeatedly abuse the term "you know?" for nearly everything they're saying.

They are unable to get a sentence across without injecting "you know?" every other 2-5 words. I find it unbearable to listen to, and I don't know how professional broadcasters deal with it, but it's so blatant and obvious.

I don't necessarily fault people for using "you know?" 3-5 times occasionally, but when that's ALL they do, it gets very tiresome. This habit tends to stem from a problem of people being unable to articulate their sentences properly, and replace in their speech, where commas or punctuation marks should be, either "uh's", "ah's", "um's", or "you know?"

So, for example, instead of a person simply saying "Well, I went to college in 1993, that was a time of my life I love, it was a real growing experience, and I really benefited from it." They instead say it as "Well, you know? I went to college, you know? In 1993, you know? That was a time of my life, you know? I love, you know? It was a real growing experience, you know? And I really benefited from it, you know?"

I always like to include examples of what I'm talking about, so submitted for your perusal is this clip of wrestler Haku being interviewed by Chris Jericho. Haku, unfortunately, is a victim of this unawares abuse of the term, he spams it throughout the interview, but in the timed clip below, just listen to 1 minute of it to see how many times he uses it from transitioning to the next sentence.
