| Topic | Which of these main character developments would you like best? |
| Solar_Crimson 04/10/17 11:31:07 PM #1: | This MC is initially presented as a normal person living an average, everyday life that he is content with. However, due to circumstances outside of his control, he finds himself involved with a special organization of some kind. This organization is filled with many other characters whose backstories are far more interesting, remarkable, tragic, etc., whereas he is still shown to be a regular guy whose own life has been comparably boring compared to his peers. Basically, he's an ordinary guy forced into an extraordinary setting. However, he can come across as boring and bland compared to the other characters (perhaps intentionally so). Going from this, which would you prefer to happen with the MC? A - The MC remains the normal/average guy, though he excels in his duties while in the service of the organization. or B - It's revealed much later that there IS something extraordinarily special about the MC; to the point that even he is surprised when it is revealed.
