The idea that there's been 8 while story arcs and the first 5 aren't even counted is insane enough. It gets more insane, as all of the Legend of Heroes series is actually a subseries of a greater franchise called Dragon Slayer, which has about ten different subseries now, and many of those have about ten or more games each.
