Congratulations! Your stool has a perfect shape and consistency! The "perfect stool" is large, soft, fluffy and easy to pass. It does not show anything you have eaten, except for whole flax seeds, sesame seeds, corn and salad greens that are tough to digest.

Light to medium brown stool indicates a normal-coloured feces.

The ideal stool is about one inch (2.54 cm) in diameter and twelve inches long. Feces that are larger than that might indicate constipation or too much food or/and fiber in your diet. If the diameter is larger than 3 cm, it might cause severe pain and bleeding during and after bowel movements. In some cases the tearing or fissure occurs, however, this is typically a minor condition that heals on its own within six weeks. A medical advise is recommended.

If you defecate from three times a day to once every three days you're in the normal range. On average a person defecates about once a day.

A stool that totally floats on the surface is either mostly vegetable fiber that is full of trapped air, or full of undigested fats. If a high fat diet is making your stool float your feces will have a slick, shiny coated appearance. The fats you have eaten are not completely digested. You should eat carrots, apples or beets to maintain balance
