Like, I've had three different brain dissections in neuroanatomy classes (sheep, monkey, human), but I didn't feel like I gained too much from them. I mean, the scale difference between a monkey and human brain, and the relative smallness of the human brain to begin with was a bit grounding, I guess. Why do brains stink so much? Is that a unique brain smell or is it whatever they're using to preserve it that smells so much? the brain was easily the smelliest part of the pig when I had to dissect it --- ...
