What does it mean, what's the takeaway when they show a scene like that? I'm not 100% sure but it was through Emma Stone's character's eyes. It makes them not being together more harder for the audience, I think I got it, I think her character is coming to the realization of a fantasy that is "too good to be true" will not happen and she is happy with where she is.
