He's not wrong that texting in a movie and on a first date is a bitch movie, but he took this so far into the extreme that any woman who googles him won't want to touch him with a 10 foot pole. The problem is that you can use this as an indicator of how he'll be in other aspects of life. Even if I absolutely despise texting during a movie/dinner/whatever, there's no way I'm gonna date someone who uses the courts to threaten you over the tiniest things. I understand why she just paid him. The $17 wasn't worth the hassle of actually showing up to court to fight it.
