Take the joke about the news cycle never accurately representing what any given study actually hypothesizes and combine it with two different sides of a political argument coming to radically different conclusions based on the exact same raw data, and it's fairly justified to suggest that any heavily politically-biased source is either going to ignore data that counters its pre-existing worldview or will at the very least misrepresent it in ways that seem to support its ideology. Most people online implicitly accept the idea (especially when talking about Fox News) when it comes to Right-wing bias, because it's always easier to see the biases of the people on the other side while missing your own.
