His refusal to ever see things from the Shadowlord's perspective even when it is so close to his own shows the kind of guy he is. I do put Neir in the same places as Joel from the last of us, in that they are good characters but not likable people and in some places you don't want them to succeed. Yeah Nier was basically Joel's predecessor. And the predecessor to a lot of recent video games with dads as the main character, actually. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. ...
