I didn't say that I thought black people only existed on tv, only that I only met one for the first time when I was like 20 and had only previously seen them on tv... I did indeed believe they existed. And to be fair, similar stories occur with individuals in the USA as well. I met someone in college who moved from Arizona to Florida and met his first black person in college.
