Why do conservatives think that they can say offensive things as long as they claim it's just their opinion?

Every opinion can be framed as offensive in some way. Is saying 41% of trans have tried to commit suicide offensive or just the facts?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_in_the_United_States#Military

But why single out transgenders?

Not to mention he's using a blank statistic that involves every transgender in the country, and applying it to only the ones in the military

No one would have those statistics (regarding transgenders in the military) because transgenderism/gender dysphoria was banned in the military until literally a year ago (plus a couple days). And not everyone who is transgender is required to register as such in the military and those are supposed to be fairly confidential statistics as well. And based on statistics I've seen, they don't track things like DUIs or suicide attempts by demographic, except for maybe gender, but to the military a person is either male or female, regardless if they are transgender or not.
