If you're doing what you love, why the fuck would you want to retire? TheCyborgNinja posted... I don't have to work, thankfully, so there's really no incentive. I'm not rich but my family is in the top 5% according to my father... $1M per month is amazing though, so if it was a job I didn't mind, I would probably cave. It'd be nice to have that level of financial freedom. If he means top 5% for earners, you're going to need to work eventually unless your family is good at saving. Top 5% of earners is only $214,462 which iirc is the 33% federal tax bracket then you lose on state taxes as well (I would say SSI, too, but your parents have probably maxed their lifetime contribution). Granted, if you live frugally and much of that money is invested, it could last you a lifetime. That said, most of the 1%ers I know have their kids work. mastermix3000 posted... Unrelated but i just got ripped off by a mechanic :O tbh, I'm always surprised by the cost of an oil change. Raganork posted... Sounds like the typical Faust legend, and I know better than to accept shady deals from strange men. What if it were a strange woman? --- (\/)(\/)|-| In Zeus We Trust: All Others Pay Cash ...
