The "ha ha, you thought I was homophobic!" version seems to be the most common variant, but any of these sorts of jokes that rely on the whole "I made it seem like I was a terrible person, but I'm not!" setup are pretty bad. --- Who's your favorite character from "Bend It Like Beckham"?
