Traveled down to NJ today and couldn't help but remember PO lives there.

Yes, I do enjoy living in the state with one of the top five educational systems in the US and a number of the most affluent counties in the entire nation.

Also, I enjoy the benefits of having some of the cheapest fuel costs in the entire country and still having every store or service I can possibly imagine ever needing to use within 20 minutes driving distance of my home (as opposed to having to drive 30 minutes for groceries and an hour just to watch a movie).

I've said it before and I'll say it again - from my experience, most of the New Jersey bashing you hear is either rooted in jealousy or ignorance. It's basically become the stupid meme that everyone repeats because they heard other people say it before, in spite of knowing absolutely nothing about the state. Especially if the only time they ever spend here is on the Turnpike going from NY to PA or something similar (which is like trying to judge the entirety of California based solely on the LA freeway). Or if they're judging from shows like The Jersey Shore (where nearly everyone ON the show was actually from Long Island).

I've considered moving before (the money I'd make from selling my house here could basically buy me a freaking mansion in most other states), but I can't imagine ever actually wanting to LIVE in most other states. For all the flaws the state may actually have, it's counterbalanced by way too many benefits and conveniences.
