| pres_madagascar 09/09/17 5:54:31 PM #26: | Zikten posted... we don't actually know for sure he existed. or was a single person. it's possible he either was totally made up, or he is based on an amalgamation of people who lived at that time. there were lots of prophets in that region in that era. there is no definitive evidence of his existence from his own lifetime. Everything we have is stuff written after his so called death. Even the Romans don't really say for sure. They usually kept good records, and the most we get from them is one guy mentioning how odd it is that a new cult worships someone they executed. but it never really proves the executed man existed. I've never seen an actual record of his execution. just hearsay. There's evidence of his existence in historical records from rome, Greece, Israel, etc..
