| KokoroAkechi 09/10/17 1:13:18 PM #21: | Placement matches mean nothing at all in terms of where you rank if you've done them before. You'll always rank close to where you ended the previous season. You can go 0-10 but still rank close to where you ended before. Last two set of placements I won at least 7 games and placed lower each time. Only matters if you have never done them. So players like me who literally only did them for like the first season and stopped have it bad because blizzard used to fake drop your SR rating to place you lower. Hero performance (relative to other players playing the same one) also matters, but the formula they use is obviously secret.
