Believing that there is nothing after death, makes very little sense to me. I know for certain that my energy will exist in some form or other...whether it is sentient or not is unknowable....but nothing? No that doesn't happen. There is always something, even if its anti matter or a gaseous cloud. Will I be aware of anything after death? Probably not but I know this planet will be destroyed and my energy will be here when that happens, it will be flung out into the cosmos and perhaps be used to create a star or another planet. Prayers go un-answered because whatever created has no further interest in what we do with our life. As far as death, once you're dead, you're dead.
