what can an android even do that is soooooo much better than iPhones? everyone acts like youre a goddamn holocaust denier if you say you like iOS better than Android.

I'm not really current on phones, but the main things that make Android better as an OS:

- More competition with devices. Many companies have many different models of phones. With iOS, all you got is the iPhone. This means there is a lot more variety and you have a ton of choice with Android phones, many of which are much cheaper than iPhones, and many of which are around the same price or less than iPhones but absolutely blow them away in every aspect of specs.

- Apps. Android has less restrictive regulations on their app store. Which is both good and bad, it means there are a lot of mediocre / bad apps on the store, but it also means that for every good app on the Apple app store, Android has like 10 alternatives at various price points / free / qualities / etc.

- Customization. I don't care about this, but I know a lot of people who like overclocking or underclocking their phones, or making modifications to the OS (like only running stock with no add-ons) and this is much easier to do with an Android device. Some things you can do with Android OS are literally impossible to do with iOS.

- Elitism. Many iPhone users claim their devices to be superior out of ignorance. For example, everything the new iPhone is being sold on as cutting edge and new are things that Android devices have had for years. Yet many iPhone users and Apple themselves sell these features as groundbreaking when in reality, Apple is kind of behind the times.

Personally, I have an old ass Android phone (Galaxy S5) and it's still doing fine for me. Only thing I don't like is the camera is outdated. If I get a new phone soon, sure I'll consider an iPhone, but every one I consider them they're always cut out of the equation early on because I could easily get a comparable Android phone for much less, or one that blows the current iPhone out of the water for the same price.
